Week 2 Assignment - How to Save a Photograph in Different Sizes and File Formats Using Photoshop

Goal: Learn to save a Photograph in multiple sizes and formats to serve multiple purposes. Here are the ways you will save your photograph:

1) Large Format "High Resolution Printing" - Set the Resolution to 300 or higher without throwing away pixels and set one of the dimensions (width or height) to 4 inch, 5 inch, or 8 inch. Save the image as a tiff file.

2) Web Format "Posting to the Web"- Resize the image to have maximum width of 700 pixels so that it will post nicely to a forum or blog. You will need to throw away pixels in order to do this. Save the image as a jpg file.

2) Thumbnail Format "Web Gallery Thumbnail or Icon"- I want the image to be exactly 60 x 80 pixels, wide or tall. You will need to throw away pixels in order to do this. Save the image as a .gif file twice, once in color and once in grayscale.

You will need save your image three times and in three different formats. I have created video tutorials that will show you this process. Click on the links below:

Send me your 4 resized images (tiff, jpg, and two gifs) , as attachments, to my gmail address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The most efficient way is to put all 4 images into a folder, zip the folder, and send me the zipped folder as an email attachment. I will accept the 4 images attached separately too.
